Eco-Friendly Vacation

Northside Valley offers Caribbean island vacations that minimize the impact of human habitation on the surrounding environment.  Our villas – built with native materials – keep you cool simply with white roofs, high ceilings, wide windows, and the shade from native trees.   They use efficient gas stoves for cooking and water heaters powered by solar panels.  Household waste water runs through a septic system that degrades waste naturally.

We treasure the geckos living at Northside Valley and commit to preserving natural resources.  Our Eco Gecko logo symbolizes our love of island habitat. The following eco-friendly practices give you an opportunity to participate in preserving our island resources:

  • We capture rainwater, a renewable resource, for use in the villas
  • The villas are equipped with recycling and kitchen scrap composting bins
  • Dishpan water may be disposed of on outdoor vegetation

Below are two girls planting mango trees at Northside Valley. Mango trees are the most effective trees on our planet for removing carbon gasses from our atmosphere. Northside Valley now has a total of one dozen mango trees working hard to clean the air.
